    Driving directions from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport: Take Hwy 202 E to Hwy 101 N and exit at # 43/Viade Ventura. Turn left onto Viade Ventura and continue 2.5 miles as road becomes Doubletree Ranch Rd. Hotel is on the right.

    Getting there: The easiest way is via SuperShuttle van service ($5–15 per person or taxi ($26–35). Otherwise, rental cars start in the $26–35 range and unscheduled limousines from the airport are $26–35 up to 2 passengers, $7 for each additional person; hourly rates are $26–35 with 2-hour minimum. Fees subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available online.

    Getting around: This hotel is located within 2 blocks of Gainey Village, a small shopping mall. For longer shopping trips, guests can ride the complimentary scheduled shuttle to the Borgata outdoor complex, Fashion Square, and Old Town Scottsdale for plenty of shopping, dining, entertainment, and visitor attractions. Once downtown, guests can hop aboard the Scottsdale Trolley. This free service winds through downtown, including Old Town and the arts districts, 6 days a week, from mid-November through the end of May. Valley Metro bus # 72 (single fares less than $5) runs along Scottsdale Rd and goes south to Tempe but for convenient access to Phoenix and the area’s far-flung attractions, a rental car is best.     DINING
    Golden Swan - Menu changes daily, spotlighting seasonably available items—Maine lobster, Norwegian salmon—from around the world. Appetizers include foie gras, white corn bisque, and yellow fin tuna. Guests dine indoors or outside by a lagoon surrounded by blooming desert cactus and succulents. Sumptuous decor with romantic lighting. Open for dinner only, Monday through Saturday, and brunch on Sunday.

    Ristorante Sandolo - This intimate, casual bistro just off the lobby serves dinner every day in a space overlooking the hotel's spectacular water playground. (Guests are given complimentary gondola rides.) An extensive list of Italian wines complements hearty northern Italian cuisine delivered by singing servers. Diners enjoy appetizers such as calamari and carpaccio. Entrées include breaded veal chops, fresh tuna with garlic, and pasta.

    Squash Blossom - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in a casual, colorful atmosphere from an eclectic menu with Southwestern flair. Lunch includes a paella station, salad station, Baja seafood cocktail, and smoked-pork soft tacos. Dinner items include marinated prime New York steak and fajitas.

    Water Garden Grill - Outdoor poolside dining on chef's salads, cheeseburgers, club sandwiches, and other lunch favorites every day.

    The Coffee Bar - Open daily in the lobby, serving gourmet coffee drinks, tea, homemade biscotti, and freshly baked pastries.
